Los Angeles

Modern technology has facilitated great advancements in television and entertainment. A perfect example of this technology was on display when the Los Angeles chapter was able to reserve a room at Q’s Billiard Club in order to watch the Generals play Hampden-Sydney for the ODAC football championship via satellite. The Generals thrashed the Tigers and went to the NCAA-DIII national tourney! Over 350 alumni that live in the greater Los Angeles and Orange County areas.

Puget Sound

The Puget Sound Chapter, although thousands of miles from Lexington, is healthy and able to gather for good events. They enjoyed the W&L Chamber Singers when the group came to Seattle. Most recently, the chapter and its over 160 members executed a great Summer Send-off event.

Although most of the Oregon Chapter members live near the city of Portland, a large portion of the more than 225 members reside in towns throughout the state. In 2011, the chapter organized an event surrounding a piano concert at the Newmark Theatre in Portland. The chapter also welcomed Beau Dudley ’74, ‘79L, Executive Director of Alumni Affairs, for a reception downtown.

San Diego

There are more than 130 graduates of W&L living in the greater San Diego area. The group recently held successful Summer Send-off and Founder’s Day events at the Fairbanks Ranch Clubhouse – a regular gathering spot for the chapter.

San Francisco

The W&L San Francisco Chapter recently executed a fantastic event at the Larson Family Winery in Sonoma thanks to a great effort from Chapter President Brooke Taylor ’06. Over 350 chapter members have made a great calendar of events very successful, and a great opportunity for networking and fellowship.
