Baltimore Chapter

The Baltimore Chapter is a well-developed and thriving chapter with an organized leadership team. Chapter leaders have helped orchestrate some fantastic events including Happy Hours, Founder’s Day gatherings, Summer Send-off, and recently did a family night at Crush Restaurant for their “Summer Sounds at the Square.” There are more than 600 members of the Baltimore Chapter.

Charlotte

Over 500 alumni are in the Charlotte Chapter, ranking it as one of our largest. While most members reside in the Greater Charlotte metro region, some live in the surrounding counties. Events organized by the chapter during 2010-2011 includes a “Lunch and Learn” Series, Summer Send-off, a Winetasting, Holiday Party, and a Pig Roast. The Charlotte Chapter competes in the Division II league of the MINK Conference.

Cumberland Valley

The Cumberland Valley Chapter hosts alumni who live in or near Martinsburg, W.V., Hagerstown, MD., and Fredrick, MD. An annual newsletter details the vibrant calendar of events in 2011. Our Cumberland Valley Chapter has over 100 active members.

Eastern North Carolina

The Eastern North Carolina Chapter includes the Research Triangle; most members live in the Raleigh-Durham/Chapel Hill areas. Recent chapter events have included a Young Alumni Spring Fling, an Alumni Admissions Program Reception, and a Holiday Happy Hour. There are over 400 alumni members.

Greensboro

The Greensboro (North Carolina) Chapter is made up of alumni living near the city. There are about 75 members. Recent events include a reception for current students who were traveling with Journalism Professor, Doug Cumming, on a Spring Term to historic sites relevant to the Civil Rights Movement.

Washington, D.C.

The D.C. Chapter is our largest and it is a flagship alumni chapter. With over 2,800 alumni living in Greater Washington, D.C., there is always something fun and informative going on. The chapter’s strong group of leaders has put on a regular Alumni Breakfast series, as well as events surrounding community service initiatives. The Washington, D.C. Chapter includes all of the Metro DC area, as well as the Northern Virginia (Arlington, McLean, Fairfax) and Southern Maryland (Bethesda) suburbs. Winchester and Front Royal Virginia are both covered by the D.C. Chapter.

Winston-Salem Chapter

The Winston-Salem Chapter has over 125 active members living in the city’s greater metro region. Due to its proximity to the Greensboro Chapter, the Winston-Salem group has collaborated in the past on events. Most recently, the chapter organized a successful Summer Send-off event.
